We are the Village of Belleville, founded in 1851, by John Frederick,
in the counties of Dane and Green in the south central portion
of the State of Wisconsin. We are a rural community dedicated
to maintaining its small town values and quality of life by:
· planning for community and economic development;
· supporting and environment for quality
education; diversity in religion; youth and senior programs; service
organizations; and other public and community service;
· providing for the public safety of our
residents;
· being responsible to the environment;
· preserving the history of our community;
it's cultural heritage; and its relationship with the agricultural
community that is our neighbor;
· demonstrating fiscal responsibility and
accountability; and
· managing future growth
...in order to preserve and enhance our French namesake "beautiful
village".
